TVA opens environmental information call center

To River Neighbors readers:

TVA is pleased to announce the formation of a new Environmental Information Center (EIC), available to anyone who needs TVA -related environmental information, or has questions regarding a variety of environmental issues.  The EIC is open between the hours of 8:00 a.m. - 6:00 p.m.  EST and 7:00 a.m. - 5:00 p.m. CST, and can be accessed by dialing 1-800-882-5263, or at our website address http://www.tva.com/environment/eic.

The EIC, staffed by TVA’s Office of Environment & Research, is designed to answer your questions with accurate information encompassing a number of TVA’s environmental areas. These include:

•          Recreation
•          Shoreline actions and issues
•          Permitting procedures
•          Reservoir Land Plan information
•          Water quality
•          Archaeological information
•          Environmental education
•          Sport fishing activities
•          And other environmental issues

We invite you to give us a call or access our website, and ask your questions. We are committed to providing timely responses to your inquiries.  Sharing environmental information helps all of us enjoy, preserve, and protect the natural resources of the Tennessee Valley Region now and for generations to come.
